How to Upload Knowledge Base Documents on HeyLoopy
Uploading Knowledge Base Documents
Knowledge base documents are the source material that LoopyAI uses to generate questions. You can upload files or add website URLs to your knowledge base.
Uploading Documents
- From the Staff Portal, navigate to Knowledge Base in the main navigation.
- Click Upload to add a new document.
- Select a file from your computer (PDF and other document formats are supported).
- Wait for the document to finish processing. HeyLoopy extracts and indexes the content automatically.
- Once processed, the document is available to assign to modules and lessons.
Adding Websites
- From the Knowledge Base, click Add Website.
- Enter the URL of the web page you want to use as source material.
- HeyLoopy will fetch and index the content from the URL.

Documents can be assigned at the module level or the lesson level:
At the module level:
- Open a module from the Staff Portal.

- Click Add to assign existing documents or Upload to add new ones.
At the lesson level:
- Open a lesson within a module.

- Assign or upload documents specific to this lesson.
Managing Documents
- Rename a document by clicking on it and editing its title.
- Delete a document to remove it from the knowledge base entirely.
- Remove a document from a module or lesson without deleting it from the knowledge base.
Tips
- Assign documents at the lesson level for more targeted question generation.
- Documents must be fully processed before they can be used for AI question generation.
