HeyLoopy makes employee training software that helps organizations train and onboard their teams faster and with less friction. At the core of the platform is Loopy, HeyLoopy's AI, which turns the documents an organization already maintains into daily 60-second drills.
The drills are built on the neuroscience of spaced repetition and active recall: each team member is asked the right question at the right time, so knowledge is reinforced just before it would otherwise be forgotten. Admins get a clear view of team performance and where the knowledge gaps are.
Yearly training fails the recall test by month six. Most training methods throw content at employees once and hope it sticks. HeyLoopy was built to fix exactly that. The company grew out of founder Ben Schmidt's experience scaling his previous startup, where headcount grew sixfold in six months and conventional training buckled under the pressure.

HeyLoopy is the second company I have founded. Before it, I was co-founder and CEO of RoadBotics, a Carnegie Mellon spin-out acquired by the Michelin Group in 2022. I stayed on after the acquisition as CTO of Michelin Mobility Intelligence, then left to build again.
I am a builder and engineer by training and inclination. I earned a PhD in bioengineering focused on machine learning in medical imaging, working across domains from stem-cell therapies to non-invasive brain imaging with MRI and MEG. Before RoadBotics I was at kWantera, an energy-market forecasting startup, which is where I learned I was built for startups rather than big-company life.
Every venture and every degree has come back to the same thing: matching the right technology to a real problem in a hard industry. HeyLoopy is that instinct pointed at workplace training. I want to build technology that makes people better at their work, not technology that removes the dignity of it.
