Some procurement teams still want a signed data-handling document on file: for them we provide a Limited HIPAA Data Handling Addendum, which records the SOPs-only scope. It is a paperwork convenience, not a sign of exposure. Your Compliance Officer can confirm the PHI definition against 45 CFR 160.103.
